In the face of rising energy prices and lower budgets, cities are looking for suitable solutions to control their energy consumption.
This process also reflects their desire to do more to preserve the environment.
Good management of street lighting plays a major part in reducing cities’ energy bills.
Currently almost half of lighting systems are energy-intensive and obsolete. Their renovation allows cities to reduce their energy consumption by 50% to 75%.
Furthermore, cities can benefit from the measures put in place by their governments, in the wake of European Directive No. 2012-27-EU, to carry out these renovation works as well as the financing solutions offered by Citelum.
By using LED technology to renovate and and extend Puebla’s lighting points, Citelum has allowed the city to achieve a total energy saving of 45%.
