This summer, the city of La Nucia hosted the 99th edition of the Spanish Athletics Championship in a stadium recently illuminated by Citelum.
The FIFA-sized Olympic stadium is part of the sports complex Camilo Cano. To install 4 towers of light, each with 35 projectors, Citelum teams worked 30m above the ground.
Beside increasing visibility in the stadium and improving sportspersons’ comfort, the new lighting, totaling 140 lights, will be more energy efficient and emit less CO2 in the atmosphere.
Citelum also designed the artistic lighting of the façade with state-of-the-art LED projectors to fill the stadium with colors during sports and city’s events.
Furthermore, Citelum already carried out lighting renovation works in La Nucia in 2017 and 2018, notably on the access road to the city where the new LED lights self-program every three days to adapt their light intensity to the sun rising and setting hours with a 70% energy savings goal.
