Citelum’s teams have illuminated the new “Verdure” Theater of the Fontevraud Royal Abbey in the Pays de Loire region.
A marking has been installed to escort spectators from the Abbey walking paths to the “Verdure” Theater. A lighting, under the seats will create a “levitation” effect on the benches. Regarding the back of the theater, it will be circled by semi-integrated lighting landmarks.
The works have been carried out for the inauguration of the “Verdure” Theater on July 28. The event took place in the presence of the Pays de la Loire Regional Council President, Bruno Retailleau, and French comedian Francis Huster who is currently acting in his play “The Theater, my live” at the Abbey.
This project is part of a global reflection between Citelum and the site management team for the lighting and artistic illumination of the monastic city of Fontevraud Royal Abbey. As an example, Citelum’s conceptual approach of the illumination and lighting animation of the Abbey Church chevet, will enable the design of festive light scenarios that will punctuate the life of the site following the events happening at the Verdure” Theater.
