This year again, EDF Group’s PB6 tower will sparkle thanks to Citelum!
From December 20th and for a month, a RGB laser will sweep the tower’s 24th first landing of its conical cavity with its beam.
There will be high points every half-hour with 3 to 4-minute long scenarios.
The rest of the time, the building will morph into a light “breathing” with slow breaths and softer, calmer illuminations.
The laser will notably use the structure of the tower to reveal a Christmas tree and will be energy efficient. Indeed, it and will only consume 1 kW every other night, that is to say, the equivalent of a washing-machine cycle.
At the edge of technology
To create this illumination with a laser, Citelum has achieved a high precision work during the conception as well as during the fine-tuning and the program phases.
The rules to use this technology are very strict and one must pass many tests and ratifications before getting the go ahead.
Gather around to admire the illumination of EDF’s tower by Citelum and do not hesitate to share this unique experience on social media!
