10 sites in France are undergoing the renovation works to optimize the lighting and the lamps location with the final aim to reduce energy expenses and improve working conditions all the while ensuring employees safety.
In total, 115,000 lighting points on 10 of Renault’s industrial sites are renovated with LED technology, and 35,000 others have been taken out and following the optimization studies carried out by Citelum beforehand.
The optimization of the number of lighting points and the lighting LED modernization result in substantial energy savings of 60%, that is to say an economy worth €22 million for Renault over 10 years.
The new LED lights also guarantee lighting improvement compared to the former installations and thus create a better working space for the sites’ employees.
As they must perform high precision tasks under strict safety rules, they now work in an environment adapted to their needs and their production quality objectives.
