CITY’S NEEDS:

  • Improve energy efficiency and reinforce inhabitants’ safety
  • Decrease its energy bill and its CO2 emissions
  • Enhance its heritage and increase its attractiveness
  • Benefit from a financial aid to carry out the works

EXPERTISE CARRIED OUT:

  • Renovation of over 70% of the lighting park
  • Extension of 40% of the lighting park
  • Management of 94,000 light encompassing both contracts
  • Maintenance, planning and follow-up of works with Citégestion’s platform MUSE®, Citelum’s subsidiary
  • Design of a lighting master plan and artistic lightings
  • Public-Private Partnership

RESULTS:

  • 13,700 lights renovated with LED technology
  • 44% energy savings on the renovated part
  • 14,000 tons of CO2 missions avoided per year
  • Shortage rate <2%
  • Over 35 monuments, buildings and emblematic places illuminated including the historic center, the Monument to the Revolution, Paseo de la Reforma and the Chapultepec wood

  • Citelum designed and installed the artistic lighting device of the BBVA Bancomer Tower to turn it into a landmark of the capital.
